Catholic or not..anybody can take any number or theory…twist it turn it and make it seem exactly what they want it to be!!!
666 is NOT the number of the beast…its what the author of the passage wants you to believe!!

I am not “moved” by things such as this… That number comes up as pages in books, numbers on credit cards, checks, license plates, etc…. It only affects you, if you let it, and if you are a person that believes in superstition, and witchcraft, etc….

Interesting but irrelevant. 666 probably referred to Nero or Domitian or some other Roman Emperor who persecuted Christians. Also, remember that 6 is one short of 7, the number of perfection: 666 could be seen as “the epitome of created inadequacy”, “an evil trinity which always falls short of the Holy Trinity (777)”.
Besides, how could the Catholic Church be the Antichrist when it (and the Orthodox Churches) has preserved the sacraments and the Scriptures through apostolic succession? Christ said that the gates of Hell would not prevail against the Church, after all.
